Edwin McCain has been called the “great American romantic” by the New York Times, and has built an enviable career over the past 20 years with his hit songs, authentic spirit and surprisingly affable sense of humor keep fans coming back time and time again. After recording two of the biggest love songs in the history of pop music, "I'll Be" and "I Could Not Ask For More," McCain now performs upwards of 100 shows annually throughout the US as a solo artist, with his full band or his acoustic trio.
I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Edwin and photographing him when he came to the Charles Mack Citizen Center in Mooresville North Carolina! Stephanie Crisco is the venue manager for the Charles Mack and when she reached out to me to photograph not only the concert but a surprise proposal, flatter and excited would be an understatement.
The Charles Mack Citizen Center is a huge venue for the Mooresville locals, offering everything from concerts, wedding, bridal shows, club meetings, and more. Having big name bands and solo artists coming to Mooresville is a huge accomplishment for Stephanie and one that the town has loved. Edwin McCain was no exception to that. The crowd loved him, he was comical, entertaining, and of course melted all the hearts with his amazing voice.
